Chapter No6:Medical Help
Random Statement 1- You know I realized Magicarp is apparently defenseless but I want to point out that they have enough muscles to jump a mountain according to the Platinum Pokemon Game. As such if they used splash below a person wouldn't they have a almost guarantee chance of knocking that person out? Even Pokemon for that matter.
I had made it to the Pokemon center only to realize that it was almost completely destroyed. "Just my luck," I muttered as I walked around trying to find a officer Jenny, or at least one of her subordinates. After searching around for a couple of minutes I found a Oran berry bush but no Jenny. "Ehhhh this isn't so bad," I commented as I set on a bench next to the bush.
As I looked at the berries I wondered what they would taste like. Putting it off for something to try later I picked three of them off the bush. Picking up one of the berries I carefully put it into a juice squeezer that I picked up for my journey out of my backpack. This simple tool was almost as essential as shoes to most people in this world. You wouldn't be able to go on long journeys otherwise with your Pokemon. You would quickly run out of food other wise.
Squeezing all the juice out of the berry; I put the juice in a paper cup that I had also brought along. I brought the juice up to my Pokemon's lips. Almost like magic the body of my partner detected the Life saving substance in the container. Slowly at first then steadily faster the lizard started taking sips of the juice and then later gulps. Eventually drinking all of the berry juice, and instantly having it's wounds start visibly healing, even if it took a good couple of minutes for the process to finish. 'There,' I thought now that it has drunk the berry it should be able to wake up in a bit from it's difficult training.
Perhaps by some twist of fate after having to nurse my own partner, at that moment Nurse Joy walked up to the berry bush only to see the Pokemon in my arms. As the Nurse looked at me she couldn't help but ask "did you just heal up your Pokemon?" Nodding my head yes I ignored her as I focused on my partner's health. I knew that I needed to learn to heal Pokemon of specific types of problems before I started specific training plans. General knowledge wouldn't do for a person who wants to sincerely train their Pokemon as best they can.
As the Nurse saw the care the man provided towards the Pokemon she grew a little impressed at his tenderness towards it, even if it looked almost desperate in some way. She could tell that he considered his Pokemon as the most important thing to him. In fact it was almost as if the Charmander in his arms was his only hope in life.
Looking closer she could see the signs of depression. Although she majored in healing Pokemon she was still a doctor none the less. She couldn't help worry a bit about the boy because if he wasn't brought out of that state it could lead to devastating things, yet she couldn't do a thing. She wasn't the boy's caretaker, and she certainly wasn't a regular doctor; no she didn't even know the boy and where he planned on going. She was a Pokemon doctor, and that was the limit of her healing capabilities. She could only pray.
Deciding not to bother him anymore she tried pushing the experience out of her head and walked away. As she was walking back to the temporary Pokemon center she noticed him following her. Wondering why she stopped and watched the man as he walked closer, and hesitatingly handed the Pokemon to her. She smiled seeing once more the boy care for that Pokemon with all he had; she could see it in his hesitation, and the fear of losing the little guy.
As I walked behind the Nurse I started questioning myself if it was a good idea to trust this stranger even if the shows always showed they were good what if they weren't. Deciding to hope that she would be just as good as she was shown in the anime I decided to fully take the risk of trusting her, but after this he promised to see if there was any skills for healing his Pokemon in his shop.

'Turns out Nurse Joy was someone that I could fully trust in healing my Pokemon thankfully' I thought as I handed Charmander back. After dropping my Pokeball next to me I watched as my partner was once more summoned. "Lets go Emblaze," I said as I finally had a nickname for my Partner. As my partner heard the name he grew confused for a second before he realized it was his name. His own personal name belonging only to him. The lizard smiled in a large toothy grin as it happily followed along.
Walking around outside we finally made it to where I wanted to go. It was a place that I had found on the Pokedex that had great reviews: on the Pokemon side of things as well as the human. Turns out that in this modern day time in the Pokemon world Pokemon experience the ability to vote, as well as rate certain products. The place that I had decided to check out was the famous shop "Blocks and Berries" a store that specialized in selling every berry and Pokeblock available especially the spicy varieties which were of a higher quality then other places.
