Chapter No9:Chapter 9- A Hexnya, Is What It
Waking up the first thing I noticed was the cold hard floor beneath me as well as Emblaze who also appeared to be in a deep sleep on top of me. Trying not to stir him awake I looked around for the Pokeball only to find that the lizard had it hidden in its grasp.
Sighing a bit I noticed him starting to wake up. As he looked over at me he noticed quickly that I had woken up. Trying to say "hi" I suddenly felt a large wave of thirst stop me from opening my mouth in its intense feel. Trying to wave my arm instead I realized that even it was sore.
Is this the side effect of my technique I wondered in my thoughts. Sitting up extremely slowly the lizard helped me get there without to much pain flooding my systems. Crawling a short distance towards my goal I managed to finally make it to the wall where my Pokedex had been thrown in the hurry of things.
Tapping my new Pokeball to it I watched it disappear in a flash of white. I knew at this moment that I had messed up. I had fought an unknown Pokemon hoping that I could win. What if the Pokemon had been more powerful than what it had shown. What if it could have been a new legendary Pokemon that I wouldn't have know anything about. It was moments like these I knew truly just how powerless I currently was as well as my partner's strength.
We needed new friends now even if that number was only a couple of Pokemon. Looking at my Pokedex I started to call up professor Oak. I knew I needed his help at the moment. I couldn't hardly move: not even a finger, toe, or eye. After a couple of seconds the back of the head of professor Oak was on fully display. If I hadn't of been in such a critical condition at the moment I would have face palmed, but at the moment I just tried to close my eye's and ignore him.
Understanding quickly the problem since he went through it regularly we finally met face to face once more. Well more like face to screen, but that was besides the current point. "Hello professor," I managed to mumble out. Sensing something wrong the man immediately looked me over noticing all my injures. "Lazaro what happen," sensing a cliche getting ready to happen I stared directly into his eyes with a face that was similar to looking at an idiot." What do you think," I asked in the most sarcastic tone manageable.
Thinking it over the man could only think of one Pokemon that had just appeared and nodded in understanding. "I'll send help write away just keep your Pokedex on you so they can find you." Nodding I was about to close the device before I was stopped by the man.
"As the finder of the Pokemon species you know that you have the right to name the whole species right?" Thinking it over I found it interesting, didn't Pokemon just repeat there species name over and over. Then did that mean the naming of the Pokemon species did something to them, or is it the other way around. While I was thinking this I heard the system once more in my head respond.
"Congratulations host for being the first person to capture a Hexnya in your current world. You have been rewarded accordingly check your inventory."
"Huh, Hexnya?" I couldn't help but mumble so its name was just that. Professor Oak hearing the name couldn't help but smile and nod seemingly satisfied with the name. "So you have already learned the wise art of naming Pokemon. Your future will truly be extraordinary. Well I got to go study this Hexnya a bit before we give her back to you so please hold on for the next couple of days."
As the professor finally went away I noticed the second half of the message he left me, and laughed at the man's excitement. Even if it made me a bit mad to watch the man treat me as something unimportant even when injured. Still I supposed that was the nature of humans; it was nothing bad about the man. Plus, even if my heart didn't agree. I knew there was nothing more he could do.
Accepting a glass of water collected by Emblaze from the nearby sink I stared into it slowly thinking about everything that has happened to me recently. After a couple of minutes I decided to drink some before I put my thoughts to rest. Maybe I was just a bit of a sentimental guy, but what did that bold for me when I eventually got to the age of 70 or maybe 80. Would I be one of them Old people who cried about everything their grandchildren accomplished.
Another thought that I was having was about the items mentioned by the system. Sadly however I knew that unless I wanted to break the little lizards point of views in this world, I needed to keep this secret, and as such I couldn't pull it out directly. Complaining about not knowing these items better; I started to slowly once more fall asleep.
----------------------------Line Break----------------------------
It had taken half an hour for the police to arrive. Seeing the man peacefully sleeping on the wall with a protective Charmander next to him they carefully took him to the hospital. Letting the little lizard stay with him as it held the man's Pokedex.
Finally arriving at the hospital the nurse that was already outside waiting to see the new patient smiled at the sight of the man with the Pokemon next to him. She was similar in appearance to the nurse Joys yet she had her own quirks. She had blond hair instead of pink; and she had what appeared to be red lipstick on, yet same to the nurse Joys she had many cousins and sisters identical to her.
The only problem however is instead of there being at max thirty of them there was at least a thousand in the picture that she had hanging in her personal office that was inside the Hospital. She was known as a Nurse Jaine. As she looked at the boy before her she felt pity towards him. He appeared weak and emotionally unstable in his sleep at times. Random flickers of a frown. A scared nervous expression here and there. Yet relief always found it's way in. Whatever had happened to him was healing now.
She just wondered what it could be and really wanted to ask about it. Nosy, yes she was, but if she could get answers she didn't mind how others treated her.
