This policy applies to freemiumnovel.com, its reader features, author tools, moderation tools, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). Freemium Novel is responsible for the personal information described here.

We collect information you provide, information created through your use of the Service, and limited technical information needed to operate and secure it.

• Account information: email address, display name, password hash, role, account dates, and, when you use Google sign-in, the name, email address, and profile image Google makes available to us.
• Published and community content: novels, chapters, cover images, synopses, tags, comments, replies, reviews, ratings, reactions, and votes.
• Private reader and author activity: library shelves, reading time, chapter visits, last-read chapter, draft novels and chapters, manuscript-import status, level, experience points, and activity totals.
• Technical information: necessary session and security data, browser or device details included in normal server requests, and server logs. For view counting, we use a browser-generated random visitor identifier or limited request information to create a daily one-way hash; the raw value is not displayed publicly.
• Communications: messages, copyright notices, moderation reports, support requests, and any evidence you send us.

• Provide accounts, authentication, publishing, reading, libraries, comments, reviews, rankings, recommendations, and progression features.
• Display content and public profile information you choose to post.
• Personalize recommendations using your library, reading activity, preferred genres, tags, and work types.
• Count views, prevent duplicate counts or votes, detect abuse, secure the Service, and troubleshoot problems.
• Review reports, enforce our Terms, respond to copyright notices, and comply with lawful requests.
• Improve performance, reliability, accessibility, and product design using aggregated or de-identified information.

Depending on where you live, we process information to perform our agreement with you, pursue legitimate interests such as operating and securing the Service, comply with legal obligations, protect users and rights holders, and, where required, based on your consent. You may withdraw consent where consent is the applicable basis, without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Your display name, profile image, published novels and chapters, comments, replies, reviews, ratings, reactions, and other public contributions can be viewed and copied by others. Do not post personal information you want to keep private.

Your email address, password hash, private library, detailed reading history, and drafts are not shown to ordinary users. Authorized administrators can access account information, including email addresses, when needed to operate, secure, or moderate the Service.

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with:

• Service providers that host the website, database, uploaded files, security systems, or other infrastructure, subject to appropriate obligations.
• Google when you choose Google sign-in; Google’s handling of information is governed by its own policies.
• Other users and the public when you publish or interact publicly.
• Authorities, courts, rights holders, or advisers when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect legal rights, investigate abuse, or respond to valid legal process. A valid copyright counter-notice may require sharing it with the original complainant.
• A successor operator in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of the Service, subject to applicable law.

We use necessary authentication cookies to keep you signed in and complete secure Google OAuth flows. Your browser may also store your theme preference and a randomly generated visitor ID used to avoid counting the same view repeatedly. These technologies are used for core functionality, security, preferences, and first-party measurement.

We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral advertising, and we do not sell information for targeted advertising.

We retain account information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the Service. Public contributions remain until deleted, removed, or no longer needed. Drafts remain private until you publish or remove them. Aggregated metrics, moderation records, security logs, backups, and records needed for legal compliance or dispute resolution may be retained longer. Retention periods may vary with the type of record, legal requirements, backup cycles, and fraud-prevention needs.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent, or objection to certain processing. You may also remove items from your library and edit certain content through the Service.

To make a privacy or account-deletion request, email wanigufran@gmail.com from the address connected to your account. We may verify your identity and may retain information when legally permitted or required. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including password hashing and role-based administrative controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Information may be processed in countries other than your own; where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers.

The Service is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age at which you can consent to data processing or contracts in your location, you may use the Service only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child provided personal information unlawfully, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where required.

We may update this policy as the Service or law changes. Material updates will be posted here with a revised effective date and, where appropriate, an additional notice.
