Terms of Service

By creating an account, signing in, uploading content, or otherwise using freemiumnovel.com and its related features (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy and Copyright Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use the Service for an organization or another person, you represent that you have authority to bind them to these Terms.

• You must be at least 13 years old. If you have not reached the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must permit your use and accept these Terms for you.
• Provide accurate account information, keep login credentials secure, and promptly notify us of unauthorized access.
• You are responsible for activity through your account. You may not sell, transfer, impersonate, or fraudulently create accounts.
• We may refuse, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, users, rights holders, or comply with law.

You retain ownership of content you create. To operate and promote the Service, you grant Freemium Novel a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt solely for technical presentation, display, distribute, and make your content available through the Service. This includes displaying covers, titles, synopses, and reasonable excerpts in discovery, ranking, recommendation, and promotional surfaces.

The license ends when your content is deleted, except for reasonable backup periods, content shared by others where removal would disrupt an existing conversation, and copies we must retain for legal, security, or evidentiary purposes. You are responsible for keeping your own backups.

Each time you upload, publish, or import content, you represent and warrant that:

• You created it or have all permissions, licenses, and legal rights needed to publish it and grant the license above.
• It does not infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contractual, moral, or other rights.
• It does not contain unlawful material, malware, deceptive links, private information posted without authority, or content that exploits minors.
• Your title, cover, tags, attribution, work type, and statements about ownership are accurate and not misleading.

Labeling a work as fanfiction or a translation does not itself make the use lawful. You remain responsible for determining whether you have permission or a valid legal exception.

• Uploading pirated, unauthorized, plagiarized, or otherwise infringing material.
• Harassment, credible threats, hate-based abuse, sexual exploitation, doxxing, fraud, spam, or illegal activity.
• Manipulating views, votes, ratings, rankings, levels, recommendations, or other platform systems.
• Scraping, copying, bypassing access controls, probing security, disrupting infrastructure, or using automated systems without written permission, except as permitted by law.
• Using another person’s account or collecting users’ personal information without lawful authority.
• Misusing reporting, copyright, moderation, or appeal processes through knowingly false or abusive submissions.

We may review, archive, restrict, remove, preserve, or disclose content, and may warn, suspend, or terminate users, when we reasonably believe content or conduct violates these Terms, creates risk, infringes rights, or is required by law. We are not obligated to pre-screen every submission and do not endorse user content.

Freemium Novel maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, accounts belonging to users who repeatedly infringe intellectual-property rights. We may also act after a single serious or clearly willful violation. Our Copyright Policy explains the notice and counter-notice process.

The Service’s software, branding, interface, designs, and platform-created materials are owned by Freemium Novel or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the Service for its intended personal or publishing purposes. No rights are granted except those expressly stated.

We may change, pause, limit, or discontinue any feature. Drafts, accounts, rankings, statistics, comments, or other data may be lost due to maintenance, failures, moderation, or events outside our control. Keep independent copies of manuscripts and important records. We do not promise uninterrupted, secure, or error-free availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, or that user content is lawful. User content represents its uploader’s views, not ours. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Freemium Novel and its operator, team, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, content, revenue, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US$100 (or its local-currency equivalent). These limitations do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Freemium Novel and its operator, team, contractors, and affiliates from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your content, your breach of these Terms, your violation of law or another person’s rights, or your misuse of the Service. We may control the defense of a covered claim, and you agree to cooperate reasonably.

Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days, unless urgent relief is reasonably necessary. These Terms are governed by applicable law, without overriding consumer protections or other mandatory rights that apply where you live. Any court with lawful jurisdiction may hear a dispute where the parties have not agreed otherwise.

If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our permission; we may transfer them as part of a reorganization or transfer of the Service. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and Copyright Policy form the agreement concerning the Service.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted with a revised date and may be accompanied by additional notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms where permitted by law.
